Multi-Monitor Problem in CSGO

Papa P
Go to solution Solved by elpiop,

There are no ini tweaks that will make it work.  You could do something like this, so that the only way you'll move your cursor onto the other screen is if you go to the top corners. Though the post above about Dual Monitor Tools is a more fool-proof solution.

I have a three monitor setup, main in the middle with one monitor on either side. When I'm in-game and move my mouse left or right extremely fast, for example doing a 90 degree flick shot, my mouse appears on the other screen and when I click to shoot the game alt+tabs.

Is there a way to stop this from happening (besides unplugging the 2 extra monitors)?

Thank you.

I had that problem for a while i remember. Im not sure on how i fixed it. But try and go to nvidia control panel and then adjust desktop size and position and make sure its set for "Full-screen" on your game monitor. Maybe try and switch up the resolution. Maybe try and move the one monitor on the right to the left side. Dont phisically do this but change it in the display settings and see if it fixes anything?

Try borderless since Surround and Fullscreen can be funny at times. You may need to tweak .ini files but as a PC gamer I assume you know how to do that.

Edit: Currently downloading CS:GO to see if I can replicate your issue. I'm assuming you're using 5760 x 1080@60, am I right?

No I'm using 1920x1080@144 on my middle monitor. The two outside monitors are for chat and web browser

Oh! I would check the .ini and see if it's capturing your cursor. Other option would be joining the Triple Monitor Gaming Club?

Well the problem with triple monitors is that one is 1280x1024@75 and the other is 1360x768@60, so...

What is the file I'm looking for with the .ini. (I haven't really fiddled around with game files very much)

I haven't played CS:GO, but it will either be in your documents folder or steam directory.

Trying and while I'm doing so, I'd suggest checking the Steam community hub for info.

I was unable to get it to lock using the configs. I had to resort to using DisplayFusion lock function, but I see that the Community Hub is talking of "Cursor Lock" and "Dual Monitor Tools". If those are free, try them out and see if they work. If they don't, try DisplayFusion and go into settings > functions > Lock/Unlock mouse to current window.
