I'm currently using an FX-4350, not stock cooling but I can't remember, something Cooler Master I think. It's incredibly loud, even on idle. I've been wondering what air cooler to use as there are a ton of options. I'm mostly focused on being as quiet as possible and I don't want to deal with water cooling.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

I have a Hyper T2 in one of my systems and it stays decently quiet.

Good aesthetic and know as the Hyper 212 EVO killer

For slightly better performance at roughly twice the cost. It's major selling point is that it's 15mm shorter than the evo. I'm not a particular fan of the evo, though I've come to accept it's performance/price, but I wouldn't classify the h7 as it's killer.

If you're spending that much and you have the room in  your case you might as well buy a noctua nh-u14, roughly the same improvement over the h7 as the h7 over the evo, and only $10 more

Have you tried lowering fan speeds?

Can you find out the model name of your cooler?
