Hello.

Im thinking of upgrading my GPU from an EVGA 750ti to 1060

 

Question 1

ill there be a bottleneck with my i5 4590

Question 2

Is my 500w enough for an 1060

Question 3

Which 1060 should i get

 

My current specs are

CPU - Intel i5 4590

GPU - EVGA 750ti

RAM - Crucial 8 GB ddr3 1600

Mother Board - GA-B85M-D3H

PSU - Zalman Zm500-gv

You will likely have a CPU bottleneck in some games with the 1060.

Your power supply should be fine with a 1060.

It really doesn't matter too much which 1060 you get as long as you have clearance in your system, or if you have a window it matches your prefered aesthetics, EVGA would be my preference for my HTPC/couch gaming system.

I'm going to say no on the bottleneck, if there is any sign of one at all it will be minimal. Newer titles that are coming out that have DX12 and Vulkan will help to mitigate bottlenecks as well.

 

PSU is good.

 

I'd recommend either MSI or EVGA, I've never had a problem with either brand.
