split internet speed in two

Go to solution Solved by Ssoele,

First of, this topic should be in Networking.

Second, you should look into your router for the QoS settings to enable this.

Hello i live with my buddy and we have 5mbit(500k/bs) internet speed and whener one of us downloads it uses the entire bandwith, is there any way to split it up like we each have 2,5mbit(250kb/s) DL speed?
so if he downloads something he downloads at 250kbs and doesnt use any of my dedicated 250kbs so its split.

Check your router, and assign maximum uplink speeds.
