RAM mix match advice wanted.

So for my B-day I have some RAM on the way, it is Kingston Savage 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory. I was wondering if I should try mix matching with my pre-existing RAM, which is, Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory. Would it be worth a shot seeing if they play well together or should I just replace my pre-existing?

There shouldn't bet a problem, as long as the ram speed and timing are close enough it should work. Even when they are vastly different from each other it should be fine 90% of the time.

It should work, though I'd rather just use the 2x8 kit and sell / repurpose the 2x4 one.

Both kingston. Both 1866. Should work. Give it a try. But if I were you, I'd take the 2x18 and re purpose the 2x4

Nothing.
