old laptop suddenly stopped working

I have this old windows XP laptop that won't boot into the bios just a black screen

the power button lights up and  when you attempt to turn it on the fans start up

and I can open and close the optical drive.

but I hear no beeps and the screen is blank

 

I'm guessing this is a hardware issue but I have no idea what it is

try plugging the laptop into a monitor to see if anything happens

Obviously, same procedure: open the case, see if is everything OK, then clean from dust and try to boot it.

IF not, remove everything, except motherboard, cpu (with heatsink), power supply and beeper. If it beeps, it's a good thing. Add RAM, power up, and wait for beeps, add GPU, power up and wait for beeps, add HDD and wait for beeps. If after adding a piece it does not boot anymore, you found the broken piece, If it never beeps, that could be another problem

I already tried the monitor

and the mobo never beeped i think it is just dead
