Next week I am updating my platform from Z97 to Z170 with an i7 6700k and getting this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130872

Currently I have 1 250gb SSD for boot and a few various programs and 2 1tb in Raid 0, but the raid is done through Windows. The board does support SATA raid in 0/1/5/10. This is the same on my current Z97 Gaming 5 from MSI. However, whenever I go into my BIOS and set it to Raid, it then does not allow my boot to work properly, thus I need to leave it on AHCI for my SSD.

Is there a way to get hardware raid control from my Motherboard, or would I need to buy a PCIe card to support it?
