Hi,

I've "build" a PC in CPUUserBenchmark and according to that website the i3 6100 and GTX 960 is better than the i5 6400 and GTX 950?

Is that true?

http://www.userbenchmark.com/PCBuilder/Custom/S27111-M35537.33835.79817.95057vsS27111-M36976.22173.79817.95057?tab=CPU

Thanks.

I like UserBenchmark due to the accuracy and ease of comparing individual parts to one another but i wouldn't trust a build-to-build comparison from anybody.

That said, the reason you're seeing those numbers is because of the GTX 960 completely beating a 950 and the fact the i3 has slightly better single-threaded performance.

I wouldn't recommend an i3 to anyone.

It says the i5 is better than the i3,and that the 960 is better than the 950.

Ground breaking stuff, there.

It's going based off price/performance.

NATURALLY the rig with the better GPU would be better for gaming.

Games being 3D, and all.

Either will do fine. I'd personally go for the i3, and deal with whatever nigh inconceivable performance hit you may take in Minecraft for the performance gain in whatever other games you decide you want to play.

for gta v, you will yield pretty acceptable framerates with the 950 (tested it myself) and the i3 would be here a huge problem. So I'd go with the i5 and the 950, gpu swap is easier than cpu swap

I suppose that's why the i3 gets better FPS in GTA 5, huh.
