Hello,

I've just setup a unRAID server with version 6.2 (beta). I am going to use this as my NAS but also to host all my VM's since it's capable of doing it. I've created a pfsense VM and given it network access to both of my networks, the internet one and the local netowork. PfSense is working in the sense that I can get the internet on my local network and I can port forward from pfSense to other VMs/machines on the network for various services.

My problem is I cannot port forward unRAIDs local network connection through pfSense. I setup the rule but I can't connect to this machine from the internet side of my network. I wonder if this is because unRAID already has it's own connection to both networks (because it requires the internet to start the array, to start the VM, to act as a router), but I don't see why this should matter given they are on two totally separate subnets?

I've attached a sketch of my network to make things clearer hopefully.

Any help would be really greatly appreciated!

Never use a beta os in a server, put the stable version on first.

I have tried this before and its a big pain to get working on kvm well. You best hope is adding a nic and useing pcie passthrough.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm having to use a beta version of unRAID as the current stable doesn't support multiple NICs. Obviously I will wait for it to go stable before moving it to production.

Yes, that was my thought, passthrough - I will give that a try. Thank you
