Code Tag more syntax highlighting

Hi there,

I was making a thread in the programming subforum when I realized that we're missing some syntax highlighting.

 

@colonel_mortis Would it be possible to add C#, C++ and Java Syntax highlighting? These are quite commonly used in the programming subforum but there's no highlighting for them.

C will work fine for all of the languages that you mentioned - the syntax is the same for all of them.

No not really. It looks different if I type C# or C++ in an IDE or in the Code Editor.

 

Even @Ryan_Vickers doesn't like it.

What specific aspects of C++ or C# are highlighted incorrectly when used with the C syntax highlighting?

For C++ and C#

Variable types like strings and every other variable type.

 

And also variable names (although this is less of an issue).

Comments aren't highlighted

 

For C++ only:

the "include" namespace isn't highlighted.

I don't really mind minor highlighting problems since there appear to be far more significant issues that I'll save for another thread or somewhere else.
