Technically if I have all the right parts, is it possible for you to take out the hard drive from the Xbox, and transfer all the files to another hard drive? Then use the hard drive in a computer with a 6700k and a GTX 1080. What I'm asking: Is it possible for you to use an Xbox on pc hardware?

That sounds like two separate questions.  I think you should be able to take the drive out and format it and use it in a PC, but I would assume (I don't actually know) that it's encrypted in some way such that you can't read the xbox files, and regardless, you can't use the HDD from an xbox to play xbox games on PC, if that's what you're wondering.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

It's probably all sorts of encrypted, and probably requires some sort of online handshake or hardware handshake in order to play the game.

Presuming you could trick the OS into believing it was still in the system, then maybe. That'd probably require quite a bit of work though, as you'd be running it on physically different hardware.

Well emulators are going to be a thing. With a modded bios it might be possible, but your in driver hell.

Sounds like alot of work. Why not just buy the game for the PC and use a controller?

But no, realistically the way the information is stored on an Xbox Hard drive, It very likely wouldn't be readable by a typical PC.

I do own the game for the PC and I am waiting for my Xbox controller that I customized. The only reason why I am wondering this, is because a couple friends and I wanted to start an ARK: Survival Evolved server. The server requires a Xbox for the server hosting and another one to be able to play on that server. I don't want to buy another Xbox, so I was hoping that I could use that way to host a Xbox server off my computer. After countless hours of research, I still couldn't find a way to host an Xbox ARK server on a computer.
