I was doing some spreadsheet work, in which I needed a text document of vinyl record grading rules to be easily accessible. I found this: Always On Top. It's very simple, you just run Always On Top. If you want a window to stay on top, you just highlight the window and press CTRL+Space. If you no longer want the window to stay on top, just highlight it and press CTRL+Space. This is probably the most worthwhile windows app I have found yet.

In my experience with it, it also sometimes works to suppress windows that are persistently on top that shouldn't be.

ResizeEnable is a cool little program I'd recently found. =p

It lets you resize any window. Doesn't sound useful at first, but there are a lot of programs that have windows that can't be traditionally resized, and it makes it rather hard to read.

It's funny to me that things that are A, this useful, B, are present in other environments (ie, non Windows), and C, I could program myself in a few minutes are not just built into the OS at this point...

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Lol you should try going to OS X and the productivity loss from all that random thing is insane. Not even being able to snap resize windows.

My favorite small program addition is called sound-switch, which allows you to easily switch on the fly sound inputs (duh), it's a hilariously small and easy to program system, but it is without equal in its daily convenience.

Unfortunately some of these are things people would just get pissed off about when it randomly was activated (the class example of a feature like that that would never get implemented if it didn't already exist in the modern era is scroll lock).

Naturally there could be the ability toggle said functionality (and default to off ofc), but neither Apple nor MS are that interested in features like that.

According to PCWorld the AlwaysOnTop program is really just a rule for AutoHotKey.

Oh, and here I was thinking I'd have to make a call to SetWindowPos() xD

Well, I'm unsure of exactly how he made it work even then, because I don't have AutoHotKey installed and AlwaysOnTop still works.
