Which mouse to get

so right now im deciding between some black mice

the rival 300 or the g402 as both are around the same price right now in Canada

if you have any mice that are around the $60 CAD price point let me know

Mouse: Logitech g402 <3

Keyboard: Some Tenkeyless with blue kalih switches

Headphones: Logitech g430

Monitor: HP w2207h (1680 x 1050 @ 60hz)

PC Specs:CPU(AMD A8 6500 @3.5ghz), Mobo ( ASUS A68HM-E  FM2+), 1x1600mhz 4gb stick of ram, Random grey PSU, 920gb ssd

Phone: Iphone 5 32gb

Tablet: Ipad 2 16gb

Laptop:Toshiba satelite with 8gb of ram a 480gb ssd and a mobile 2nd gen I3

I have the g402 and it is very nice, i think it has been almost 2 years with it now and it looks new. I would get it.

F*ck the rival, get g402 and be happy with it!

It is almos of same design with g502, which I have and oh, boy, this is the GREATEST MICE EVER damn it.

Been usin the Rival since its first Release. Never had ANY Issues. Great Mouse. Oh and the Steelseries Support is great aswell. Friendliest People when it comes to RMA or any kind of Question.

I have had the Rival 300 for a few weeks. It's great, software is good, lighting is great. The tactile feel of the switches is great, buttons are placed well...etc.

 

It's a big mouse. Not a downside, just something to note. For me it works great and I am very happy. I spent 40 USD on sale at Best Buy.

 

The cord is a touch grippy if that bothers you but the antisweat coating works great and it's very comfy.

Steelseries has one of the worst customer support... Also while the Rival 300 is a great mouse, its absolutely massive so i would say if your hand isn't atleast 19cm then it might be too big. Having a mouse thats too big in size can become really uncomfortable to use.

Welp, thats your experience then i guess. I RMA`d a XAI a Siberia v2 and Mousepads. Once i RMA´d an Sensei because the Mouse "feets" were scratched. Had ZERO Problems with any of this Devices being RMA´d.

I can't say every single RMA/support is bad. And of course, that's your experience as well. Many people have had absolutely horrible RMA service and many people have complaint about it, There are many posts and threads on different forums addressing the unreliability of Steelseries service. Not all people will experience bad service but unfortunately, Steelseries has one of the most complaints about their horrible service experience, if not the most. My personal experience wasn't extremely bad. I applied for a RMA on my Rival 300 not tracking, got a reply saying that just take it back to the retail store i purchased from. My other RMA was on my Steelseries Siberia V2 which had one side not producing any sound. I got a reply a month later saying to ship it back to the Steelseries factory in Sweden or wherever it was.

I would agree that Steelseries has a pretty horrendous support service but i wouldn't be too concerned about it. Steelseries products are generally pretty good quality and if theres anything wrong as soon as you buy it, just take it back to the shop.

I've had the rival for a couple of months now and I love it, great tracking, simple software, and very solid. I'm a big dude with pretty large hands so it fits me like a glove, however I've heard lots of people complain about the size, not necessarily a con but just something to take note of

yea its not a con, the size isn't just meant to suit small hands. They just made the mouse absolutely massive. probably the biggest mouse ive ever used or seen.
