Hey,

So I believe that my GPU might be dead. Yesterday when I was playing CS:GO, my main monitor suddenly got thin black and orange stripes all over it. The two monitors I have on the sides were both grey. (http://imgur.com/a/UkbTV)

I restarted my computer, but nothing happened. All my monitors were just black (and, yes, I'm sure they were all turned on)

I restarted again, and got into the Windows troubleshoot thingy. When I had ran that, I got the message that Windows couldn't repair my computer..

I then decided to take out my graphics card to see if my computer worked with one of my monitors plugged in the motherboard only.

When I restarted, it all worked fine, and I had no problems getting logged on.

I could only access the troubleshooting utility thingy you get up if you spam F7 at startup with my GPU plugged in, but I couldn't get any further. Nothing else displayed after that..

Do you think that my GPU is dead, or could there be any other potential problem?

If my GPU is dead, what new card would you recommend me getting? I have been thinking of getting the 1070, but that is stretching my budget quite a bit right now :)) If it's a really good card and definetly worth the price though, I am willing to go for it, as I'm sure it must be quite futureproof, right?

And sorry if my english is a bit diffucult to understand

"Futureproof"... sure... jk it should be fine for 5 years or so before you have trouble running new games on it.

Maybe look at the 1060 or RX480 if you don't want to spend that money.

Your current GPU does sound dead though.

I edit my posts a lot.
