Guys wherever I plug a 3.5mm jack into my phone, it automatically starts opening Google voice search and keeps pausing and changing the song i'm listening to. I don't have a mic and my phone is an lg g3 rooted and flashed with CM13.

maybe it has something to do with the flash or a setting,..... because I'm pretty sure it doesn't do that on stock android

Did you(or some "prankster) enable some kind of peripheral setting so that when you plug in your headphones, it opens stuff by itself? Not sure if you can do that in CM13 though, I sure can't in CM11 but I can with my Windows Phone.

You're probably shorting the pins that's used for the button. If you press the button it would play/pause and holding it would open google. Since yours doesn't have a mic or anything, it's either the flash or something stuck in your headphone jack.

Probably something to do with CM13. Did you flash it with a installer or something like AROMA? Because maybe you missed a setting in there.

It's actually a setting in Android afaik. Settings -> Sounds -> Launch music app

Maybe that's set to open Google voice search?

Seems to me that the headphone jack or your headphones have tons of signal noise on them making your phone assume it's a mic.
