Avoiding Static Electricity

I will be building my first PC this weekend but i have a problem

 

My entire house is carpeted.

Is there anything i could use to stand on to avoid static build up. I do have a Anti-Static Wrist Strap and an small Anti Static Mat

would a bed sheet work as an insulator.

You already have what you need to stand on and avoid static electricity... your antistatic mat.

just ground yourself every time you leave the antistatic mat and walk on carpet.

 

honestly, static electricity is not very dangerous to your PC with a wrist strap, and poses almost no threat with an antistatic mat - don't be worried

Honestly, unless you're running around the house like crazy rubbing wool socks on the carpet you don't have much to worry about, just work on a good surface like a wood desk or use the box the motherboard came in to place that on and touch something grounded before you start like a switch or something.
