Task Manager Disabled By Administrator

Hi.

I can't open my task manager recently, it says that's disabled by administrator. I just installed Kaspersky antivirus and scanned my computer, no viruses were found.

Could the antivirus disable the task manager as an administrator?

First off, I'm assuming you're the Admin? If you're not don't waste your time.

 

Otherwise, what version of windows are you using? Pro/Basic, Ultimate/Home Basic etc.

I'am the only user, so the administrator.\

I'm using Win 10 Home

Okay, check this (http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/why-is-task-manager-disabled/) it's for windows 7 but a lot of things carried over from 7 into 10

I suppose it's possible, but I would think it highly unlikely. Viruses can disable it, so I'd double check that your system doesn't have any viruses. Try running Malwarebytes and see if it picks up anything.

I didn't find any virus. But I remembered that I installed EMET, which is most likely to cause the problem.
