1060 vs 480

This might be repost, but i canni be bothered to look tru more than 1st page. So 1060 performs better than 480 ( exept in hitman ), but what about the claim it being = to 980? Can anyone link me to comparison.

It's very similar in performance to a 980 and they trade blows in most games.

They are not hard to find, many reviewers out there have shown that they are indeed comparable. Sometimes the 980 wins, sometimes the 1060 wins, sometimes they're equal but the wins/loss were always 1 to 2 fps apart from each other

The GTX 1060 is faster, but the RX 480 is way cheaper, the RX 480 is still better then the GTX 1060 at any game in frame/dollar.

TL;DR - if you're in America, India or anywhere where AMD cards are overpriced, get the GTX 1060. $10 more for a cooler, more energy efficient and more powerful card isn't much.

 

Rest of the world, the RX 480 is the better buy. The price of the GTX 1060 is fucked ($379 vs $500 AUD for us!).

1060 wins against 980 in terms of price and matches it in terms of performance.

960 was a major let-down as it barely outperformed the 760 so it would be a major fuck-up if the 1060 wasn't a step up from the 960

The 960 costed like 200 Euros in Germany at launch, the GTX 1060, 320 Euros, so.. meh.
