Hi I need a new tablet to replace my old, fat, ugly, slow tablet PC, it's already like five years old, I believe. Here's a picture of it.

Anyway, I need a tablet/convertible to replace it. I really like the Surface Pro, but that is out of my budget.

Here are some things I want:

- Windows 8. I really need Windows 8 not Windows RT. I need to run programs like Photoshop and AutoCAD.

- At least a Core i3 or similar. I need it to be powerful because again, I am running these programs on the go.

- It needs to survive 7 hours of school. So a decent battery or a small charging brick.

- I absolutely hate cheesy, fat, bulky looking cases/docks/keyboard attachments. The Surface Pro has something I really like but it is out of my budget.

- I have a budget of about $600. No more.

Some tablets I was looking at were the Acer Aspire P3, but it has a Pentium (unless that's more powerful than my current Core 2 Duo, then I might consider that), and the Surface 2, but it can't run regular Windows 8. Please suggest some tablets that meet my requirements, as I have been searching for a while now, but can't find anything powerful enough or cheap enough.

Thanks!

look at lenovo, they seem to be leading in hybrid mobile pc designs at a low price lately. Additionally look out for deals because your budget is a bit low.
