One thing to be aware of is the Phenom 2 black editions do not support onboard graphics even if the motherboard itself does, you'll want to go the athlon route.

Once at my PC in a few minutes I'll make a proper product suggestion.

He doesn't want to spend the money but he really does need a new computer.

I whipped this up and wanted feedback. Basically a internet, music machine that's reliable and speedy. $300 or less.

What can I change?

Would avoid the Asrock board if possible. And you can get this PSU for cheap right now http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-100b10500kr

I would probably salvage as much as I could from the old one. Case and psu are probably usable. Maybe old drives for storage, old optical if it's sata...

It's a 10 year old Pentium 4 system...only thing i'd want to take out of it is the 320GB storage drive..honestly he wont even use 70GB that's why I want to go the SSD route. Not to mention it's all IDE crap.

I posted this before I read that your father wouldn't use much space. Just grab some cheap SATA II SSD off of eBay to replace it. Such as; http://www.ebay.com/itm/OCZ-Vertex-2-60-GB-Internal-2-5-OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G-Solid-State-Drive-/251351815653?pt=US_Solid_State_Drives&hash=item3a85bc55e5
