So I have an extremely specific minute question when it comes to RAM.

I'm building a computer using the MSI B150 Mortar motherboard. Under the "compatibility" section for this mobo's website, I was looking up memory.

The RAM in question is the Kingston Fury RAM. I was going to get two 8GB sticks for 16GB of it. Inspecting the NewEgg specs for this RAM, the Model # is HX421C14FB2K2/16.

The B150 Mortar's compatibility does not include the HX421C14FB2K2/16. HOWEVER it does allow for lHX421C14FB2K4/32, lHX421C14FB2K8/64, and lHX421C14FB2K4/16

If you ctrl+f "lHX421C14FB2K", you'll notice that they are all nearly the same model but with different last 4 characters. The last 4 characters are the "number of sticks"/"resulting amount of RAM".

(example, 2 sticks of 8GB is 16GB so it'll be 2/16)

(example, 4 sticks of 8GB is 32GB so it'll be 4/32)

Being said, considering the compatibility section of the B150 Mortar says you can have that stick in "4 sticks of 8GB" and "4 sticks of 4GB", is it possible to run "2 sticks of 8GB"?
