Hi i have a q6600 GO  (XEON S775 x3220) paired with a hd 7850 1gb gddr5.

I overclocked it to 3 ghz with to stock voltage of 1.25v.

I can get 3.22 ghz with Vcore of 1.32v but my concern is my motherboard, I don't want to blow up the vrms.

The board is ASUS P5Q-VM it has 4 Chokes on it is that 4 phase? It does not have VRM cooling on it and I am using a Thermaltake contac 16 tower cooler which does not blow on the motherboard, my load temps are 52c while gaming. On the web it says the motherboard supports 136w tdp cpus.

Can anyone please give me some advice?

I would not risk the board. G45 chipset based mobo are not good clockers.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Use msi kombuster and cpu burner from it. Then check temps from hwmonitor while you do it.

Got some new info on my mobos vrms

The mobo has a 4 phase power delivery system with 4 mosfets for each phase and 100% japanese made solid capacitors for the vrm system and whole board, is that decent?
