HTC One Battery Mod?

So I know the battery cover is not removable but could you cut part of the aluminum and get to the battery if you wanted to put a different one in? Just wanted to know if anyone has tried.

I'd rather get a portable battery bank and save the effort.

it would most likely destroy the phone also the battery is prob soldered or blued to the backing of the phone so cutting it could most likely cut the battery and release toxic fumes or acids.

That's why I do not buy phones with sealed batteries, should the battery start to fail to retain its charge properly, you're so screwed. As Langdon had said, get a battery bank and forget about modding the battery.

Theres no guarentee that the battery is right up against the aluminum too, not to mention how would you cut it? I'd say leave it to the cnc machines!
