Need help about speakers recommendation.

Hello, first post here and I'm looking for some insight about 2.1 Speakers setup for my PC.

First, here's my spec:

CPU: Intel 3770  3.4Ghz

GPU: Nvidia 670 2GB (Will upgrade for RX480 or Nvidia 1060 soon)

RAM: 8GB DDR 3 1600Mhz

HHD: Samsung SSD 840 Evo + Seagate 2TB

PSU: OCZ 750w

MOBO: Asus P8H77-I mITX.

Here's the website for the motherboard: Asus P8H77-I

Ok, so here's the deal...

I'm currently using really old speakers setup which need to be changed. I'm using onboard Audio which according to the website is:  VIA 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC   which was fine for the setup that I had for now. It has only a few outputs (Line In, Front Speaker, Microphone and also 1x Optical S/PDIF Out)

I'm planning to upgrade my GPU and my Speakers Setup. I was looking at a few models...

Klipsch R-15M (Or R-14M) along with Klipsh R-10SW Subwoofer

Klipsch Promedia 2.1

Logitech Z623

I know the R-15M + Subwoofer is quite a bit more expensive than Promedia/Z623 but I'm wondering if it would be worth it? My PC will be 95% used for Gaming.

And also wondering if my current motherboard with onboard Audio is good enough for any of these sets?

Thanks for the help!

Your on board audio probably will do the job just fine, however you can always throw a sound card in later on if you're unhappy with the sound quality

Desktop: i7-6700K / Asus Z170 S / H100i V2 / LPX 2400Mhz 16GB / 960 EVO 250GB / 2x 860 EVO 500GB / RM750i  / NZXT H440 XB271H + Z22n Monitors

Laptop: Thinkpad T450s / i7-5600U / 12GB / 860 EVO 500GB

The Klipsch and Logitec are basically interchangeable, and thus both pretty awful. However, a lot of people that don't know or care about audio quality find them to not only be good enough, but pretty good.

The Klipsch bookself speakers would be somewhat better, but be aware that you'll need an amplifier or receiver to power them and connect them to your PC or whatever. I'm not a fan of cheapo subwoofers, so I would skip one on the desktop.

Honestly, if I were you with that kind of budget, I would stick with the Micca PB42X or perhaps JBL LSR305.

Don't forget to tune the built in equalizer (if the drivers include one) to fit your ears!
