So, bit of a problem.

Recently, my Steel Series Siberia V2's fell apart. Literally. The microphone stopped working, and about an hour later the left side headphone literally broke off of the top strap. I was using this headset not only as a headset, but as a pair of headphones for work.

Now, I am in the market for a new pair of cans. I'm going with actual headphones this time, and just gonna get a mod-mic for headset use. I have a couple of pairs I am considering, but that is not the point of this particular thread.

The point of this thread, is can I play audio to a mobile amp, via the micro USB port on my Windows Phone HTC One M8? I've tried googling this, and just get useless results for Windows Phone apps that aren't related to my question AT ALL. I generally use either VLC Media Player, or youtube as a source for my music. I don't use Pandora or Spotify because they are apparently unaware of Synthwave and Retro Electro as genres (which is surprising. And the last time I checked them was maybe three months ago, so it could have changed).

Basically, does ANYONE here know if OTG is a thing on the Windows 8 Phone, HTC One M8? I know that the android version supports it, but that tells me fuck all because Windows Phone.

and don't ask why I have a Windows Phone. I'm so sick and tired of it that my next phone will be an android. Windows Phone is only good for the live tiles and security through obscurity (because fucking NO ONE uses Windows phone except for me, a dude I know at work, and maybe 3 people I know online)

I had this question a year or so ago. On Windows Phone 8 OTG isn't supported, but on Windows Phone 10 it supposedly is. I think I tried it once, not sure if I had success or not as it was a long time ago. But I know for a fact that you're more likely to have a better chance with 10.

Why are you still using 8.1 btw? Windows Phone 10 is pretty nice, as slow as it runs on my 1020.

No idea. Got it from Verizon, turned pretty much everything off because I trust Windows about as much as a sign that says "free candy" on a white van.
