My friends pc (new build) :

 MB:         MSI 760 GA-P43

Graphic: Powercolor HD7850 2gb gddr5 V2

CPU:       AMD FX 8320

HDD:       Hitachi HGST Travelstar 7K750 750GB

RAM:       Corsair vengeance  2x4gb 1600 mhz

PSU:       Corsair CX600

When fully completed i turned on the pc but got no signal to my monitor. No bios, no post beeb NOTHING :(

I have tested al parts exept the cpu. it cant be the motherboard because I had this problem previously and send back the mobo so this is a brand new one.

Is it possible that the cpu is the problem.

Re-plug everything from the psu. Have you turned on the psu?

and try to turn on the pc only with the cpu and ram.

Would this do the trick?: Asrock 970 EXTREME3

I hated that board, died on me in 6 months. Anyways, how does an 8320 even fit in a 760 board with an am3 socket? Doesn't it have an extra pin or two....?

MSI 970 G43 for 60$ or Asus M5A99FX PRO for 120

I also tried this board : biostar ta970

so should i go with the 990 chipset?

If I remember right, AM3 and AM3+ is the same layout.

Depends on what you're doing if you are going to buy a 2nd gpu at some point, then you should go with 990fx. Otherwise 970 is fine, I just don't trust asrock anymore. You can buy a 970 extreme3 if you want though, mine was decent until it died.

Ok, I think I know the problem.

Remove the graphic card, and plug the monitor on the motherboard. Does it work now?

If it does, then you need to go on the UEFI and ENABLE CSM (Compatibility Support Module). The problem is that the dedicated graphic card is not GOP ready. To make the graphic card GOP ready, you need to check PowerColor website for a firmware update. Manufacture don't do it for you, as a GOP ready GPU will NOT boot on a BIOS based system. Only UEFI. So... if it happens that someone did a firmware upgrade to make it GOP ready, and UEFI is disabled, then you know to fix it: Enable UEFI, and disable CSM.

If the graphic card has been updated to be GOP ready, and the motherboard does not have CSM (Compatibility Support Module) option, then you are in a pickle, because the motherboard doesn't FULLY support UEFI.

GOP allows the graphic to "instantly" boot, making it, with a combination of an SSD, and a fully support UEFI system (Windows 8), to boot in 6sec or less from you pressing the power button to the desktop.
