PC freezes on bootup, please help!

Hi guys, I bought a new laptop just over 2 months ago but I've been having issues with it. I've always been able to fix it but I have no idea what to do this time.

Here's the problem: after either 1) a cold boot 2) booting from sleep or 3) when it's not hooked up to a power socket the system will completely freeze as in I'm not able to do anything: the screen remains on, peripherals don't work, ctrl+alt+del doesn't work nor does pushing the power/reset button. The only option is manually rebooting the system.

When does it not occur?: strangely enough, the problem doesn't occur when, immediately upon booting up, I reboot the system, if I do this, I'm fine for as long as I leave it on.

What I've tried/ know: so to narrow it down, here's what I've tried/know already:

- Run system repair: couldn't find any problems.

- Clean install drivers: reinstalled all drivers (correctly and cleanly), solved nothing.

- Reinstall Windows 10: again, the problem persisted...

- Rolled back to Windows 8.1: didn't solve it either...

- Used C Cleaner to clean up/repair registry: again, this desperate effort was in vain...

System info: Might be relevant...

OS: currently Windows 8.1.

Drivers: all the necessary and latest ones, not just for the GPU's.

I'd really appreciate some help on this one, since it persists through complete factory resets it doesn't seem to be a software issue but I can't look inside since it'll void the warranty. Could it be the mobo or something?

Should I just go back to the store with it? Have it looked at? This is a last resort though seeing as it's an MSI laptop and I've heard nothing but tales of their horrendous customer support...

Anyhow, support is greatly needed and appreciated.
