Hi guys! I'll be making some stuff out of wood. The wood I'm planning to use is pretty rough and needs me sawing and screwing things together. What are some wood sawing tips and what are some screw tips? I think you need to drill a very small hole so that the screw won't rip the wood apart, and I think you need some sort of leverage so that you can get a clean saw. I'll be using a saw that will be in the pic, and for screw and screwdriver, I'll be using a swiss military electric screwdriver and the screws they provide within. Give me some tips! Thanks!

UPDATE : Sorry I forgot to upload the photo.

Not a wood worker by any means, but I remember my dad always using these things when attaching screws to something that requires support:

Thanks for the advice, but I won't be mounting anything on the wall so I probs won't be using that. Thanks tho!

Some good channels on YouTube for woodworking are Mattias Wandel, John Heisz, I build it, and Steve Ramsey. They have lots of good information.
