So, this is my first computer build...EVER, So I want to make sure that I do it properly. That is why I would like to see what y'all think of it.

Here is the PCPartPicker Link- http://pcpartpicker.com/list/HFtq4C

Now, before you get all on my case for having a pooptastic gpu, I have a good reason for that. My idea is that I will get the best CPU, Ram, MOBO, Case, Lights, and cooler I can within what i have ($1200US), skimping on the Gpu. So that Later when I sell my old iMac, after I have another working PC, I can get a 1070 or a 1080. That way I don't have to skimp on cpu and the important stuff just to have a decent Gpu. I can have a great Cpu and a great Gpu, it'll just take maybe a month longer.

I will be using this PC for Video/Photo editing, computer sciency things, programming, and distributed computing, not all at the same time though.

I am calling it Mighty Mouse because it is in a reasonably small s340, and is black with a slight baby blue. Both of which kind of remind me of a mouse. Furthermore itl'll be mighty because It will have an overclocked i7 6800k and a GTX1070/80.

I am open to suggestions and updated Partpicker links.

Thanks,

You could get a better SSD.

Also your username is incompatible with that motherboard :P

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

What do y'all think of the PSU. I just watched Awesomesauce's video of hotline vs 6950x and two 1080s, it says a 6950x and 2 1080s use about 520 watts, of course not overclocked, and without lights, but is that reasonable? Would 650w be enough for my CPU and Gpu choice? What about with a Hue+ and Grid+ v2? What if in the future i added a second GPU?

Plz help.

Wow, if you want quality water cooling, go check corsairs cooleers theyre the most reliable brand rn for that

I thought corsair link was bad? Plus I have a hue+ and Grid+v2 also planned, all in a s340, I figured an all NZXT build would look slick.

How long until the mac sells?  Seems like you've got a few components you're buying just to use until you have more cash.  You'd have even more if you don't have to waste some on temporary components; just wait until after the mac sells to build this :)

Not really i have an h80 with corsair link, which is optional and its really good,  The only bad thing about this cooler is that the rgb colors bug out after boot, Really good software.

Planning on selling mac after the PC comes. I'd only be spending $10 extra on a cheapo GPU, Plus My friend's dad maybe donating some parts (Older GPU) so I might not need to get it afterall. His basement is like a Computer part junkyard. xD

Dang... Dat Price tho

Anything under $100?

What is the best PSU under $100?

Maybe used? I'm trying to put all my money towards main components. I want the best quality for my dollar, within my budget, feel free to edit my list with a better psu, and cheaper other components.

This is a lot more sane:

https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-PLATINUM-Crossfire-Warranty/dp/B010HWDOH6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1468549542&sr=8-1&keywords=supernova+p2

Still overkill though.  I mean, for a dual GPU the wattage is probably about right but it's platinum certified and like top of the line quality.  This is the Cadillac :P

I see. So 650w isn't enough?

For one card it would be fine and even for 2 it would work but depending on the cards, that would really be pushing it. I'd got to 750 minimum for SLI/crossfire

Most I would do is a 1080 SLI. Like Awesomesauce.
