My computer, which is an extreme build (https://www.reddit.com/r/watercooling/comments/4pzcxr/bumblebee_matx_watercooled_extreme_workstation/) is having trouble booting fast.

The computer is using a M.2 SSD for the Windows installation, has 64 GB of RAM, GTX 1080s in SLI, and some other stuff. The PC Part Picker is in the reddit link, or in the imgur one.

I have no clue why it takes so long to post.

When first powering on, the lights go through, with the RAM light, and all the other troubleshooting lights turning on, one by one, taking forever.

Then after like 10-15 seconds, it finally displays the logo on my monitor.

Why does it take so long to POST/boot?

I just want to be able to boot into Windows right away without troubles.

Specs? Is it x99?

X99 motherboards do tend to boot slower, make sure to enable whatever "quick boot" settings in the bios, and have your windows drive using uefi.

x99, yes. As I said, the specs are in the PC Part Picker if you open the reddit link and the imgur one.

Disable features such as boot from network, and boot from removable drives/ dvds may also help, but x99 boards for some reason do seem boot slower then a z170 for example, a 10 second boot time isn't slow though.
