I'm pretty sure it's to keep the screws / cooler mounts from interfering with the rest of the PCB. Or it might just be to add some reinforcement to that part of the PCB.

I think it has something to do with grounding, maybe ground the case or screws so there won't be a dangerous event for the user.

I think they are for grounding the case

The solder, I believe, helps with grounding the motherboard to the case, and the tracks around the CPU socket are just printed on during manufacturing, I assume it's used as a reference guide for the machinery.

so the actual tracks are not on the top of the mobo they are a bit deeper than the top?

I'm unsure, but they don't affect anything that you or I need to worry about.

I don't think you can, you should hit the bottom of the standoffs first and the screw can't be turned any further.  Could be different depending on the screws and standoffs your case comes with though.

 

But, if you do, it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Really though you shouldn't be doing anything that tight when it comes to motherboards xD

also what happens if myne are a bit grinded back as I screwed my screws in a bit too tight...

The dangerous event being when the user touches the possibly metallic case and grounds the case that way, causing an electric shock.

 

That shouldn't matter too much, If anything the screws are definitely grounded. As long as the mobo PCB isn't crushed its all good.

As far as I know some grinding is normal. It happend with my mobo too. As long as there is still some left it should still be making contact.

Also I don't think it is very important to have the motherboard grounded by all screws. You can leave some screws out without any ill effects. Also a lot of people test their motherboard on top of the motherboard box without any grounding and nothing happens
