Aida64 VS Visual Studio Load Comparison

Hello there,

I have my 4690k at 4.6ghz at 1.34V watercooled and on aida64 I get temperatures around 73-75C, while on Visual Studio C++ project run I get about 78-80C

does anyone know why it is so?

Probably because the particular C++ project you're running results in a instruction sequence that results in more heat for that CPU type. I'm guessing the project involves some kind of loop wich never sleeps ?

Aida64 tends to use mostly the CPU cores, while heavily threaded, multi-core programs tend to also utilize a lot of the CPU Package, which is often a lot hotter than the Cores, and thermometers only ever report the highest temperature unless you expand it to view the separate components

well it is optimization problem all cores crunching numbers until its done but the interesting part that aida46 is not making that kind of load
