Yes it will drop performance, no you should not buy the adapter.  They don't work very well/waste of money.

Hi, i have motherboard with only sata 2 connectors, i want to buy ssd. Will it drop performance of ssd, and should i buy Sata 3 Pci adapter ?

It might drop it a little depending on the ssd, but most pci cards can't be booted from. I'd just run it a sata2 and ahci mode. It should do fine for you.

You'll still notice a large performance increase switching from HDD to an SSD.

Performance will drop, but it will affect more peek max speed, so if you don't do large files transfer (GB's) all the time, you will not feel the limitation in performance during day to day activity.

Just make sure your SATA controller is on AHCI mode, and you are ready to go.
