**By smaller I mean not a complete rebuild**

Currently have a 4930k, 2-970's, evga 1000p2 psu, a few ssd's in raid0, and a 4tb backup drive. Using a Qnix 2710 korean monitor at 120hz.

For those who've upgraded to 1080's from 970sli already, worth it?

Worth grabbing a pg279Q?

Have about $2k us to use for upgrades.

Lol, been careful not to spend anything on it since 970 launched. Been slowly dumping a few bucks here and there into bitcoin exchange and finally cashed out last week

If you play games that don't support SLI then yes, a 1080 would be worth it.

Or if you just NEED a 1080, it does have better performance.

The PG279Q has meh reviews but a monitor with a high refresh rate and G-Sync would be nice.

For sure, I've heard some horror stories of some bad QC on those. But gsync I've heard is something to behold :P I might take the risk. I'll be buying all my parts from Micro-center nearby(ish). Might take them up on their "protection plan" since they're really good at maintaining customer satisfaction. My first 4930k was a dud, talked with their CS (albeit for 4 days) and they took it back and exchanged it.

they're the best. Dunno about your store, but the Paterson NJ one is a mess! Really disorganized, but prices can't be beat. Plus, you can get it "now".

The one in KC is good, their website lists what aisle the item is in so I don't have to look around.
