I recently bought  8 GB of Ram for my latitude e6410 (i5).  I installed it and when I went to start windows it gives me a white screen.  Startup repair also gives me white screen.  I went into the BIOS and the computer recognized the full 8 GB so I dont think it is a memory problem.  My computer should be able to support it.  I went to the dell website and it said my computer does.  Any ideas?

Might be a bandwidth problem -- your motherboard's set to use RAM at a particular speed, which might be different.

If that is the case, resetting the CMOS should revert your MoBo's settings to normal.

Not familiar with resetting CMOS on laptops.  I usually just pull the battery out.  How do I do this on laptop?
