First time Overclocking ( A Gpu)

Cpu- amd fx 9590 (non overclocked) 4.7ghz

Gpu- Msi r7 370 4gb 

Operating system- Windows 7

My Gpu is a msi r7 370 4gb model and was just wondering how to overclock it i have overclocked a cpu before but never a gpu thanks for your help!

the fx 9590 is still a great CPU with 8 cores and 8 threads but its not recommended in a BUILDING progress but if you already have it fuck it

 

download MSI Afterburner and get a stable clock and voltage and your done

It's basically an overpriced 8350. It runs too hot, is inefficient and doesn't perform that well.

its got 8 cores shouldnt it be compared to the i7 6900k?

Most people agree that the current AMD architecture is awful. Everyone is hoping Zen will be better. It's not all transistor count.

LOL!  C'Mon guys!  Leave his CPU alone...  It's what hes got and it works fine.

 

As someone else mentioned, just download MSI Afterburner and start turning up the settings (in small increments).  You can search online for good "starting points" unfortunately I can't help with AMD overclocking specifics as I'm not familiar with their limits.
