Too Much Dust In GPU

I just wanted to ask a simple questions which is that if my gpu (GTX 980 G1 Gaming) gets too much dust in it, will it result in me getting lower FPS?

I know that temperatures will rise but I was wondering if this will affect the FPS.

Any replies would be great and thank you for helping me out.

Performance will decrease if the card overheats, clocks will be lower.

a little bit of dust will not affect the performance of the card, but if it does get  a lot of dust it may increase the temperatures, which then can decrease the lifespan of the card and reduce performance

if your temps get too high, your card might not boost as much thus losing performance

 

but the major issue with dust is the lifespan of the card, not the performance
