Refurbished Monitors Consumer Experience

Howitz

What are your opinions about purchasing a refurbished monitor?

Some might say that it's broken and an unsure purchase, other might say that it's better than buying new because every potential problems have been fixed? where do you stand on this?

its taking a massive chance. Some monitors have scratches everywhere on them and they are beat up. While others look untouched. And the chance for having dead pixels on arrival is a lot higher.

so refurbished=broken or refurbished=repaired? I guess it depends on who sells it in this case...

Refurbished can mean anything from "Brand new" to "On it's last legs", it really depends on who you are buying from.

If it's refurbed, then there's a chance that it was not functioning properly at some point. Why did it fail? How did it fail? Was it repaired properly? Who knows.
