How do I install Windows 10?

I upgraded from Windows 8 to Windows 10 when it was free, I did the automatic upgrade so didn't get a nice clean install and I didn't have to enter a code. I have got a new Samsung NVMe 512GB and I want to put a clean install of W10 on it. Will I need my windows 8 key? Do I download W10 from micrsoft. I have no idea where to start!

Download the Windows 10 files from Microsoft and use your Windows 8 key.

Download windows 10 media creation tool (search for windows 10 iso) first

make sure you have a clean usb stick (if not clean then right click on it and select format, this will delete everything on it however) run the tool, and select installing to another disk, select the usb drive and wait for the installation media to be created.

If you download through Microsoft, the tool and ISO are in the same package (technically the tool is downloaded, then the ISO is downloaded through the tool)

i understand this, i said search for windows 10 iso, as the first link is the one needed, did this to speed things up

Thanks guys. I just wanted to check those two things, windows key and where to get the install from. Now I just hope I can find my W8 key. lol.

and no you dont need any key

just press "do this later" when it asks for a key

it will auto activate itself

Found key, now that I don't need it.
