weird arctifacting.

Go to solution Solved by Darell3,

so I threw together a build consisting of intel e5300, 4gb of ddr2, 160gb sata drive, and a BFG 8800gts 512mb card, but when it boots the diagnostic screen and boot menu have artifacts across the screen, and also the windows loading screen. but no artifacts in the bios, the splash screen or inside of windows. what does this mean? i am confised, is the card receiving a weird signal from the board or something? i will test the on-board video tomorrow.

The Video card is faulty. Had the same GPU a few years back, and had to RMA because of the same thing that happened to you. The sales rep said the product was faulty.
