Help I Broke my RX 480 Fan

Well.... i was trying to see if my spare gtx 960 evga cooler would fit on my rx 480 so i could actually overclock and the fan header wires got pulled out (very tight fan header). How do i fix this?

You can sauder the wires on it .

I would just suggest sending the card back for RMA. Trying to solve these kind of problems the "manly way" may get you into more problems and from my own experiences of replacing headers with that short cables are pretty damn hard. But

That mayyyy be a problem. There were warrenty stickers over some screws i had to take out :(

Go look at the other fans wires, all of those are wired the same. Only solution is ask for RMA Or resolder it on.

Awesomsauce on youtube dissasembled a 480 to hybrid it you might be able to get it there

he broke the card by physically damaging it, and probably voided warranty doing this in the first place. RMA is not an option.

See if you can find stock photos for the order of the pins... If you have a voltmeter you can test the connector on the PCB and see if there's an obvious order. Or look and see if anyone has done a teardown and watch when they take the cooler off if you can see what order the connectors are in on their card. :)

Then, they might charge you for extra money, but they will RMA your card. If you're trying to connect the headers yourself and messed it up, you can send it back for RMA or just buy a new cooler as a last resort.

you can chose weather to sauder the wires to the pins (easier) but never open it up ever again or put them back on the connector (harder).

Easy fix.... reattach the wires manually. there is nothing special about the wires. put them back in the correct order and you will be totally fine.

Pretty easy fix imo, just take your time.
