Posted July 8, 2016 Noctua NH-D15s is probably the best air cooler. Cons with this is that it's quite large NZXT Kraken x61/ Corsair H100i GTX are probably the best water coolers. Cons are that you need to have a place to mount the radiator and since they're aio's you also have pump noise on top of fan noise. I would probably recommend air coolers over all-in-one water coolers

Possible fix here: Spoiler Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link? Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.) Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly. -For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked. -For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components. -For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors. That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it. The NH-D15 is better and easier to install than the H80i. The h80i takes all of 2 minutes to put together. the dh15 has issues with ram clearances. And yes I have, not the most pleasant thing in the world especially when you have massive hands. I guess the fans can be harder to clip on if the case doesn't allow much room but it's about as pleasant as dealing with tubing. The rest of installation should be the same regardless of hand size. The H80i is a 120mm AIO, and those suck in mid tower application. Universally. Their sole purpose in life is to cool mini ITX builds that can't fit anything better and GPUs. The NH-D15 is outperformed by some, but not by much. It beats plenty. Also, I don't know if you were trying to install your Noctua with a hammer or something, but I've installed an NH-D15 and an NH-L9i. Both were surprisingly easy. I enjoy buying junk and sinking more money than it's worth into it to make it less junk.
