Dead screen?

Today I lost power in my apartment because of air conditioner. Once I had power back everything worked fine. During the day my screen just died...

It was connected to my laptop which killed another screen couple months ago.  What I mean by that is VGA port just stopped working for no reason. Today this in another screen

 

What do you think guys about that? My laptop is killing screens or it has something to do with lost power?
