Hi!

- Your motherboard won't allow you to overclock your CPU. Change it to a Z170 chipset.

- Everything else looks fine! I'd dish out the money for a better CPU cooler personally. Like the Shadow Rock Slim.

http://pcpartpicker.com/product/Zr2kcf/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk010

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Computer having a hard time powering on? Troubleshoot it with this guide. (Currently looking for suggestions to update it into the context of <current year> and make it its own thread)

If you are only going to be gaming, get the i5 6600k and downgrade to 8GB of ram as gaming won't need Hyper-Threading and all that ram, if you are overclocking get a Z170 chipset motherboard or if your not get a locked CPU,

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600x | GPU GIGABYTE GTX 1070ti WINDFORCE | MOBO ASUS Prime X570-P | MEMORY XPG Spectrix 2x8GB 3200MHz  | PSU OCZ Zx 850W | CASE NZXT H440

Hey I was wondering if anyone thought this PC build was good for a first time. Any input is good thanks.

http://pcpartpicker.com/list/WHr9WX

1.Why are you buying a H chipset and a K CPU?

2.It would be better if you save a couple pennies and buy a G-SYNC monitor since your monitor in the build is a Free-Sync one and i think with a GTX 1070 G-SYNC would really bump up the experience

3.Everything else seems ok

That's a funny joke xD

I still think it's a good idea to get a gsync considering the budget but they do start at $540.

Also i would recommend this build http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Ds72RG since it corrected the things i did not like but if you can bare with the $200 change

Also first build? i7 6700K and a GTX 1070 for a first build will be a bit over the head but you should keep it up xD

Edit: It's almost worth it to get a Fury X now and a Freesync Monitor

http://pcpartpicker.com/product/CDx9TW/xfx-video-card-r9fury4qfa

They're $460

(of course, they are 10% behind the 1070 so, yeah. But they end up costing $120 less once you factor in the costs of G-Sync)

16gb of ram is enough I think.

Between games asking for almost 8 now anyway, the OS and maybe chrome up with music on in the background. 16 is a sweet spot to have enough to last for a while. Plus Ram is pretty affordable that 16 is almost a minimum anymore IMO.

Yes but the one I link was reviewed by Tomshardware and found very close to $200 boards so I recommend that one.

Both Gigabyte and Asus have crap customer support though

If you want good customer support, go MSI (more like decent but that's as good as it gets on the side of motherboards. Maybe the EVGA stuff butthose are overpriced af)
