I've already pieced a lot of what I'm thinking of getting together for a high-end gaming PC on PCPartPicker, here: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/g2Jh. Aiming for as much punch as I can without being (more) ridiculous than necessary. Any input on what I have so far would be great :)

What I'm really stuck on is the case and monitor at this point, I am constantly flip-flopping between my top 2 choices: a Corsair 750D or the Phanteks Enthoo Evolv Glass case. But, I am also smitten with more stylish cases like the TT Core P3, or the In Win 805 Infinity case from CES even if they are a bit more challenging to build in/offer less utility. Which ones would be better for a easy first time build?

thanks!

Pick the case you like best.

I would suggest a couple of changes to the basic build.

A cpu cooler with user controlled lighting.

A quad channel memory kit. (The motherboard has 8 memory slots, so there is still room for upgrading.)

Better hdd. Hybrid drives do not offer that much of a performance boost in a general storage drive.

A much better psu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
