Right click the desktop>Display settings>Advanced display settings>Display adapter properties>Monitor>Screen refresh rate.

Unless it's HDMI 2.0, no. ( But I think HDMI 1.3 Also supports 120hz @ 1080p but don't quote me on that one)

You will need to use Display port, or DVI to get anything above 60hz, are you using HDMI?

 

EDIT: just read the rest of the thread and see you are on HDMI. Yea you cant go above 60hz on HDMI.

Your monitor should have come with the correct cable you need. Mine came with display port. Some come with dvi.

Unless you are running a 4K monitor with an HDMI 2 port, you will not see any benefits... HDMI is locked to 60Hz max...

Just use displayport, its a better interface anyway.

No fair!  ?  My ASUS VG248QE only came with DVI.  It seemed rather backwards to have to plug in what looked like a headphone cord it came with just to get audio output to my monitor.  

 

Displayport is so much better.  ?
