980ti SLI vs 1080

KamilKrait15

For the same price as 1 1080 i can get 2 980ti's. What would you choose and why?

980ti SLI will beat the 1080 quite handily in everything outside of possibly VR.

980Ti SLI is still more powerful, if you really need that power.

However, if one 1080 is enough to drive your system. I'd would take one card over two cards just for the driver, heat, etc.

I would say 1080, because sli can be finicky and if you get a 1080 then if you want to go into sli you can do so with a more powerful card... Not to mention the other advantages over the 980ti

it's only because pascal is more optimized for VR than the previous generations. but even so, the 980ti sli is way better

980ti sli FTW... Could you do 1070 sli? Would help for efficiency and heat

So therefore it would make more sense to go for the more powerful option (980ti). am i right?
