i saw samsung launched new t3 ssd though it is true that writing and power off for longer time may decrease its data storage capacity.

what's point on launching external ssd if they will die cuz external drives are used more for writing than internal drives.

is it worth buying such ssd since if left for longer term can loose stored data ?

by the way in real time how much speed does these ssd give ?

there has been rumor of external m.2 for nvme will it give massive data transfer speed if used with usb 3.1 type A ? or usb port will not allow it to reach it max writting potential ? any suggestion regarding its real time speed .

Well an external SSD will still live long and not die after a year. It's just way faster than standard HDD's, it's lighter, can be smaller, is shock resistant and doesn't need external power. Overall it's pretty good for an external drive. Much like an USB stick.

For real long term storage I'd still prefer an hdd though.

External nvme/m.2 sounds stupid to me as they use pcie and USB does not. Only Type C with thunderbolt does which then is a whole fuck ton faster though but also $$$
