Okay here is my problem. I am searching for an "all in one" headset. I've had turtle beach X12s for like the last 5 years and they finally broke (after the warranty was up and I couldn't send them back for like the 7th time lol) I would love a headset that fits all of my needs. The systems I have are Xbox 360, Xbox one, and PC so I would like to have a headset that is fairly easily interchangeable between all 3 of these systems. I never used my old headset on PC but I would like to with this one as I want to get more into PC gaming and would also like to talk to my friends on skype (My PC doesn't have a mic an has very shitty speakers so I've been using a portable bluetooth). It is also very integral that this headset works on xbox 360 because that is the system I am playing the most right now probably 360 60% of the time PC 25% and XB1 15%. I would like an upgrade from my old headset. I'd say my budget is between $75-$130 CAD. As for headset preference's I'd prefer an open end headset but that doesn't matter that much, I'd like it to be light comfortable and durable, detachable mic seems cool and less cords the better but thats not deal breaking, I would like to be able to hear my own voice when speaking, obviously I want some quality sound maybe an option to turn on 7.1 and a nice microphone (well for a headset at least).

[Also on a complete side note I have a relative living with me that loves to sing and shes good at it but doesn't think she is and it seems like shes never going to want to put money a side for some recording device/microphone so I was wondering do any gaming headsets have the microphone capability to record quality music? Not saying I'd for sure buy one because I'm sure that would put me out of my price range to attach an actual good mic but I'm just wondering if something that can do both things exists or if shed be better off recording with an iPhone or try and get her to save for one of those blue snowballs or something (idk I'm out of my depth)]

Back to the main topic. After doing some research the Hyper X Cloud II's or the Cloud Revolver seem like a nice headset around my price range but they have my main issue of not being compatible with my xbox 360 which is probably a no go. So I guess my main question is does anyone have a way to either get one of these 2 headsets to work on the 360? Or If not do you have any headset suggestions that are similar in both quality and price but also have the means to work across my platforms (PC,360,XB1)?

I was thinking of just buying a 3.5mm female to 2.5mm male converter with one of the Cloud headsets but after looking at other forms I have found that if you do that only the game audio will work and you wont be able to chat and we can't have that. Also does anyone know when the Cloud Revolver S is suppose to drop? Maybe that will fix my problem aha but I highly doubt I'll wait on it. I've been back on TV audio for a week and its a pain in the ass

Logitech g430. I owned the G230 (same headset, different colors and accessories) and it is very comfortable, light, and the mic is great too. The G430 has 3.5mm headphone and microphone connectors, but includes a usb soundcard adapter thingy which, someone correct me if I am wrong, will work with mic and ingame audio on x360 and xb1. They are ~50 USD on amazon right now. They have a braided cable and it should hold up just fine.

EDIT: It has 3.5mm connectors for PC use, and can also be plugged into its usb adapter for use on console* or pc.

hyperX cloud. wont work with 360 but works with xbox one and pc and also ps4 if you ever get one. i have one and love it. audio quality is very good. uses 2 3.5mm connectors. (one mic and one audio) comes with an adapter to take that to just 1 3.5mm plug that plugs into your xbox one controller. if you have an older xbone controller you will need the microsoft headphone adapter (i have one and highly recommend it even you have a newer controller with the built in audio jack! if you have the money of course)

also i dont think there is any way of use the hyperX Cloud on 360 for both audio and chat. i could be wrong. for just audio you could just run a aux cable off your tv/monitor (thats what i do) but you wont be able to chat with anyone. just game audio. im not sure if you adapted the microphone cable to the small 2.5mm if that would work or not. i honestly have no idea and unfortunately i have no way to test that since i dont own a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter.

Thanks for the help but my main concern is getting one that will also work on 360 do you know of any similar headsets that will work? Since there doesn't seem to be a way to get the clouds to work. Although I think it is possible to find a 2.5mm male to dual 3.5mm female jack but I know if that would work the the xbox 360 controller hardware or not thats the problem.
