So, I've been having a couple issue with my computer and I'm right now assuming it's the motherboard, but the power supply might also be the issue.

For starters, when I attempt to power up my computer by using the power button in the front of the computer nothing happens, so naturally I attempted to short the pins on the motherboard and turn it on that way but that didn't work either. Confused, I took the battery out of the motherboard for a few seconds and placed it back in and that still didn't solve anything.

I then unfolded a paperclip and shorted the to pins on the power supply cable that connects to the motherboard and there was power and things started to kind of work...

Every time I want to turn on my computer, I have to take the battery out of the motherboard and place it back in for it to work otherwise nothing will happen.
Now, I just keep it out and every time I cut the power I have to input the settings again. :/

I also have another issue, but it may be unrelated.
Some of the USB ports on my motherboard are dead, but the issue had only started occurring at the same time as the power problems.
Right now I am only using one USB port that is connected to a USB hub for things to work.

I have all the materials I need to troubleshoot, I just need you guy's help!

Thanks in advance.

P.S I am ready to buy a new motherboard if it comes down to that.
